Almost all Minnesota Vikings fans don't believe the team will win, which means the Detroit Lions would win the NFC North.
The Detroit Lions are on the verge of winning their first division title since 1993. This can only happen if the Lions lose all three remaining games (@Vikings, @Cowboys, vs. Vikings) and the Minnesota Vikings win all three of their remaining games (vs. Lions, vs. Packers, @ Lions). That's certainly not an impossible result, but with the Lions already leading by three points in Minnesota this week, it would certainly be a surprise at this point.
Some Lions fans may take the “I'll believe it when I see it” approach, which is…fair. This franchise has come close to winning its division before, only to have its fans' hearts broken. But perhaps this should be somewhat reassuring: Almost no Minnesota Vikings fan believes their team will win.
This week for their Reacts poll, our friends at Daily Norseman asked their readers to make a prediction for the Vikings' record in their last three games. The number of fans predicting a 3-0 score was so small that they didn't even appear in their weekly graph.
A quick calculation shows that about seven percent of Vikings fans believe they will win.
Of course, it's worth noting that this poll catches Vikings fans in a tough spot. They are coming off an inexcusable overtime loss to the Cincinnati Bengals and have won just one of their last four games – a boring 3-0 victory over the Raiders.
As a result, even a large majority of Vikings fans believe the Lions will eventually win the NFC North in the next few weeks. And for what it's worth, the playoff odds certainly seem to be right, with most probability models putting the Lions at between 93 and 96 percent to win the division.
