Safety net guard Marc-Antoine Dequoy boasts being one of two Montreal Alouettes players on the 2023 Canadian Football League (CFL) All-Star team.
Quebecer and wide receiver Austin Mack caught the attention of journalists, head coaches and fans who were invited to comment. Both men contributed to the success of the Sparrows, who went 11-7 in the regular season before defeating the Hamilton Tiger-Cats 27-12 in the East Division semifinals on Saturday.

In the race for the title of Most Worthy Canadian Player, Dequoy ranked second in the CFL with five interceptions. He converted two of those into touchdowns, while he made 57 tackles on defense and five more on special teams. During the playoff game against the Ti-Cats, he intercepted an opponent’s relay run and knocked down a pass.
Mack, for his part, excelled in his first year on the track, totaling 1,154 yards and four touchdowns on 78 receptions. The American also grabbed a pass for the middle finger last weekend.
The Alouettes face the Toronto Argonauts in the Eastern final on Saturday at BMO Field. They have a 16-2 record on the season and have eight star representatives, including quarterback Chad Kelly.
