Already a personal highlight for Sam Reinhart

The National Hockey League's second-leading scorer, Florida Panthers forward Sam Reinhart, continued his dream season and set a career goalscoring record.

The British-Colombian scored his 34th goal of the season in a 4-1 win over the Nashville Predators on Monday night. He took advantage of a numerical advantage in the first third to cause an upset.

Reinhart reacted quickly after a faceoff and got a puck back that nobody wanted. He overtook everyone, including goalkeeper Juuse Saros.

Only Auston Matthews has so far performed better than the former Buffalo Sabers with 38 successes.

Carter Verhaeghe gave the Panthers the win by breaking a 1-1 tie 71 seconds into the third period. Brandon Montour and Matthew Tkachuk scored into an empty net.
