Aly Michalka announced on Wednesday that she is pregnant by sharing a snap of her growing baby bump by the sea.
It will be the 34-year-old Aly & AJ singer's first child with her husband of eight years, commercial director Stephen Ringer, and the baby is due in May.
Aly (née Alyson) first learned she was expecting on the morning of her sold-out Sept. 8 concert at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles during her With Love From Tour.
“Our little one has performed with me in three states and even traveled internationally!” Michalka – who has 625,000 Instagram followers – wrote.
“We're waiting to find out the gender because I always love a good surprise, but in the meantime we've been busy getting ready for kindergarten, meeting my birth team, eating more protein than usual, etc Go to Pilates, sleep well and drink lots of water.

Aly, who has long craved tacos and birria, hasn't experienced the stereotypical nausea that comes with having a baby on board.
“It was a really easy pregnancy, and I feel really lucky and blessed to have had this experience,” Michalka told People on Wednesday.
“Recently it's started to feel really real just because I'm starting to show it off now – and I've taken my belly ring out, which means the belly is really popping out.”
The Southern California native began dating the 39-year-old cinematographer in 2012 after meeting on the set of Andy Landen's film “Sequoia,” on which he served as cinematographer and in which she starred.
“I can obviously imagine that Stephen is a really great father, which I think is one reason why I wanted to have children with him,” Aly gushed to the outlet.
“He will be very responsive to their feelings and emotions.”

“We want the name to feel unique, but I also don't want people to roll their eyes and say, 'That's such a famous kid's name.' “This is so ridiculous,” laughed the Natalist brand ambassador.
“So I think let’s just stick with a cool classic name, maybe something that sounds like an author, a writer or a musician.”
Stephen has been out of IMDb credit since 2016 as he turns his attention to directing fashion spots for companies like Loro Piana, Matches and Giuliva Heritage.
