Amanda Bynes says she's quitting her podcast after a single episode to “have a consistent job.”
The 37-year-old actress revealed on Instagram Stories on Thursday that she is stopping her podcasting efforts to find more consistent work as a manicurist.
The Thousand Oaks, California native said the first episode of her podcast, titled “Amanda Bynes & Paul Sieminski: The Podcast,” “went really well” after its release on Dec. 9.
“I was actually surprised and of course wanted to continue after friends encouraged me to do it,” Bynes said of the first podcast, which featured tattoo artist Dahlia Moth as a guest.
The Hairspray actress continued, “After thinking about it, I would rather get my manicure license and have a steady job. “I'll follow that path instead.”

Bynes concluded her statement to her followers by saying, “Thank you for following my journey!”
She was pictured visiting a Starbucks in Los Angeles on Wednesday, dressed in a pink top, light blue jeans, a black belt and black leather boots.
Bynes wore black sunglasses and had her bleach blonde locks slicked back and down for the day out amid a rainy week in Southern California.
The All That actress has spoken in the past about her interest in working in the beauty and fashion industries.
In October 2022, she said on social media that she was “going to cosmetology school to become a manicurist” and shared pictures of her educational journey.
In 2020, she had been exploring the possibility of starting a perfume line, as her lawyer David Esquibias told People at the time: “She is exploring fragrances.”
Bynes also studied at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM) almost a decade ago.
The “She's The Man” star's update came just days after she took to her Instagram Stories on Sunday and revealed that the podcast had been put on “pause” because she didn't have high-profile guests like “Drake or Post Malone.” offered.

She took to her Instagram Story on Sunday and revealed that the podcast was put on pause because she wasn't offering guests like “Drake or Post Malone.”
She continued, “So if one day we're able to get those types of guests on the show, maybe we'll start the podcast again. “But for now, I'm taking a break.”
But just a day later, Bynes took to her Instagram Story on Monday and revealed that she had decided to “move on.”
“So I wanted to post something about how I felt last night after I posted that we were going to pause the podcast,” Bynes began. “I was really sad and in a really bad mood because I was really looking forward to doing the podcast next week.”
In the caption, she clarified: “Filming is this Friday, not next Friday!”
Bynes continued that the podcast was “something I was really excited and happy about, so I talked to a few friends and they all said I should keep going, so we're going to continue the podcast.”
She added: “I think podcasts just take time to grow and build a following, so I shouldn't have said what I said last night about not getting the kind of guests we were looking forward to “Maybe we'll get them in the future and the guests we've invited are really great.”
“I'm really looking forward to filming the next episode and that's about it,” Bynes concluded in the video.

The actress announced in late November that she was working on a project – a podcast about the entertainment industry with her best friend, the biochemist and scientist.
The former Nickelodeon star previously previewed the debut and discussed his plans to take his podcast to a more “mainstream” level.
“First we'll interview our friends and then we hope to take it into the mainstream and interview celebrities and artists,” she explained in a video.
The podcast series was also made available in video format and marked her first project in front of the camera since her last film project over a decade ago – the 2010 romantic comedy Easy A.
