Amber Gill has revealed she’s facing accusations of being “fake” after announcing her latest romance with footballer Jen Beattie.
The former Love Island star, 25, who first sparked dating rumors with the 31-year-old Arsenal defender in late 2022, claimed she could “deal” with the naysayers as her family and friends accepted it that way.
She told The Mirror: “I’m so happy. Everybody was really like, ‘We saw you date a guy.’ I was 21. It’s been four years!’
“I think England is progressive in a way because it was nothing for all my friends and family. I didn’t “come out”. I was fine.
“Some people say I’m a fake? I can handle that.’

The influencer rose to fame after winning Love Island with Greg O’Shea in 2019 but split just 39 days later.
It comes after Amber gave her friend Jen a kiss as the footballer’s side won the final of the FA Women’s Continental Tire’s League Cup on Sunday.
Jen ran towards the stands after her win, where she greeted Amber, who threw her arms in the air in celebration.
A viewer told The Sun: “It was nice to see Amber and Jen so clearly in love and happy. They were both emotional and on high after the epic win.’
Jen also took to her Instagram after the game to share a picture with Amber as they wrapped their arms around each other and Amber bit down on her medal.
It’s the first time they’ve shared a snap on social media, having kept their relationship fairly private so far.
Amber was wrapped up warm in a padded black jacket while Jen looked sporty in her red and white kit.
On her Instagram Story, Amber also posted a snap from behind as she hugged Jen and tagged her in the post.

They sparked dating rumors in late 2022, with a slew of flirty social media hints and a Christmas date.
Last month, they appeared to have made their relationship Instagram official as they enjoyed a sweet date on Valentine’s Day.
Amber went to dinner with the footballer at London’s upmarket Nobu Hotel in Portman Square.
While the couple also enjoyed a relaxing spa day at the five-star Corinthia London on the day of love.
Jen shared a picture of Amber over dinner to her Instagram Stories and sweetly added a love emoji to the shot.
Wearing a white textured corset top, Amber smiled widely while averting her gaze from the camera as Jen snapped a picture.
The reality star shared the story of their date again, writing, “Bro who made you smile like that?”.
And while they enjoyed a trip to the spa earlier in the day, Amber snapped a selfie during one of the treatments as she called Jen her “girlfriend” and wrote, “National, bring your girlfriend to the spa day.”

Jen also showed up to snap photos of the beauty as she shared a carousel of snaps from the spa’s hot tub.
Admiring her then-alleged girlfriend, Jen commented on two emojis in the comments section.
The couple also appeared to have exchanged a bouquet as Amber shared a close-up of a rose to her Stories, while Jen posted a similar picture of her own blooms.
While the couple has kept a low profile about the romance, they’ve alluded to it numerous times via social media since linking in December.
Last month, Amber spoke to Web about romance and shared that she wanted to keep her girlfriend’s identity under the radar at the time.
Speaking about dating at the moment, the beauty told Web: “I’m not ready to say it yet. You know when you just want to keep things to yourself to see how things go until it’s like real life.
“It’s like not telling your mom right away when you’re with someone, but taking it slow.
Amber hinted even more at a romance with the footballer and also recently hinted at being a WAG when she reposted a snap comparing herself to Victoria Beckham watching husband David play football.
Her close friend Brett Staniland then shared an old picture of Victoria and Cheryl, who were married to Ashley Cole at the time, watching their respective husbands play soccer.
Hinting that she’s a WAG, Brett tagged Amber as Posh – with the reality star seemingly confirming the soccer tie as she shared it with her own 2.6million followers.
