Amber Heard is seen using crutches in Madrid after injuring her hip while training for the annual NYC Marathon

Amber Heard hobbled on crutches after suffering a painful hip injury while training for the New York City Marathon, which takes place in November.

On Friday, the 37-year-old Aquaman star smiled through the pain as she strolled down the street alongside her sister Whitney Henriquez, who was pushing her sleeping two-year-old niece Oonagh Paige in a stroller.

Despite having to take a break from her strenuous workout, the actress appeared cheerful as she waved to onlookers and chatted with the local paparazzi who inquired about how she got injured.

She did her best to brave the humidity. She wore a sleeveless black maxi dress which she paired with white linen slip-on sandals from Chloé and wore her hair tied in a sleek bun.

Heard styled her casual look with hoop earrings, an Apple Watch with a gold strap, and multiple necklaces.

Her younger sister sported the same hairstyle as Heard and a plunging black minidress.

Both Heard and Henriquez wore minimal makeup for their last outing together.

Heard’s latest sighting comes just two weeks after Australia quietly dropped a case against her over the illegal importation of her dogs Pistol and Boo in mid-2015.

At the beginning of the year, the Texan native moved to the Spanish capital with her ex-husband Johnny Depp following her high-profile libel trial.

In May, confirmed that Heard had “left Hollywood and quietly moved to Spain” with her baby daughter.

“She is bilingual in Spanish and is happy to raise her daughter away from the noise,” a friend of the actress revealed.

The insider continued, “I don’t think she’s in a rush to return to work or Hollywood, but she’ll probably come back when the time is right for the right project.”

The mother-of-one sold her Yucca Valley, California home for $1.1 million in July 2022 (almost double what she paid for it).

Heard hasn’t worked since filming Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom in 2021 and the modest-budget thriller In The Fire last spring. (The Aquaman movie is finally coming out at the end of this year.)

Heard’s daughter was born a year before the Depp v. Heard case, which involved defamation allegations made by both the actress and her former husband.

The couple were married from 2015 to 2017 and the Pineapple Express actress claimed that the Pirates of the Caribbean star was physically abused over the course of their marriage, which he denied.

Heard also published an editorial in The Washington Post in 2018 detailing how she felt speaking out about the alleged abuse she suffered during her marriage had negatively impacted her career.

The actress then filed a lawsuit against News Group Newspapers for publishing various allegations about his marriage through The Sun in 2020, although he ultimately lost his case.

Depp sued his ex-wife for defamation over the comment in 2019 and she followed suit before the trial began in July last year.

Ultimately, the Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas star was found to have been defamed by his ex, and a single statement made by his former lawyer Adam Waldman about the actress was also found to be defamatory.

While both parties appealed the verdicts, they dropped them and settled the case in December last year, when it was decided that the actor would receive $1 million from his former spouse’s insurance company.

Heard subsequently released a statement about the settlement, saying on the BBC that she had “lost faith in the American legal system.”
