EMILY PRESCOTT: How Amber Heard ‘works out every morning’ to prepare for her court duels with Johnny Depp
It’s the showbiz trial of the century, pitting two Hollywood stars against each other in a television story about alcohol, drugs and severed fingers.
But what happens away from the cameras in the courtroom when Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s multimillion-dollar defamation trial is adjourned for today?
A source tells me the actress follows a set routine at home to make sure she’s battle-ready.
“I take her to practice every morning before she goes to court,” says my source, who temporarily relocated to Virginia to be near the actress and Amber’s one-year-old daughter in case.

Heard and Depp, who have been married just 15 months since 2015, are in the midst of the explosive trial, which is expected to end on May 19
“We create an environment that feels normal and routine.
“At the end of the day, Amber’s focus is on her daughter. After putting her to bed she comes downstairs, we cook dinner and try to calm down.
“Then she’s back to studying and preparing for the next day. She’s so stoic and focused, but it’s a marathon, not a sprint.”
Heard and Depp, who have been married just 15 months since 2015, are in the midst of the explosive trial, which is expected to end on May 19.
Depp, 58, is suing his ex-wife for $50million (£40million), claiming she defamed him and irreparably damaged his career after she wrote a 2018 article for Washington , referred to as a “domestic violence public figure” by the Post.
Heard, who never named her ex-husband in her article, is filing a $100 million counterclaim.

Among the shocking allegations leveled by both sides, Depp has accused his ex of defecating on her bed in an act of aggression.
“Six weeks feels like an inhuman amount of time to be in a process like this,” the insider tells me.
“It is deeply saddened that Amber has to be here reliving the intimate details of their relationship so publicly. It must be very overwhelming.
“Sometimes she seems like she’s hit a wall, other days she gets some momentum from somewhere.”
She adds that Amber, 36, being ignored by her ex-husband in court “must be dehumanizing so we’re just trying to boost her energy at home.”
