The perfect job? A billionaire American family hires a “full-time canine nanny” who makes $127,000 a year to pamper their two privileged pooches
- The job advertisement is looking for an “extraordinary and very experienced” dog groomer
- The successful candidate would reside in central London but would be traveling with family
- Your responsibilities will include organizing play dates, vet appointments, and meals.
A billionaire American family is offering a whopping $127,000 a year for an “attentive” dog girl to take care of their posh pooches.
The confusing online job advert is looking for an “exceptional and highly experienced” worker who will provide “unparalleled care and attention” to her two large dogs.
The full-time nanny would have to live with the family in Knightsbridge, central London, but could fly out whenever the family travels with their pampered pets.
The unique ad claims they need to organize play dates with other dogs, stock up on food, vet appointments, and keep detailed records of their health.

The perfect family match requires knowledge of dog nutrition so that they can develop a “personalized training program” and play with the spoiled pooches.
George Ralph-Dunn of the Fairfax and Kensington recruitment agency, which acts on behalf of the family, says the whopping $127,000 salary is “unheard of in the industry”.
However, the nanny would have to “drop everything” and “put her private life on the back burner” to prioritize the dogs’ welfare.
The successful candidate is also expected to use “strict security measures” to protect the dogs in what has been described as a “high profile environment” – suggesting the owners are celebrities or public figures could act.
George said he has received more than 300 applications for the position so far and that the company plans to first narrow down candidates before conducting rigorous background checks and family negotiations.
He said: “These jobs have clients looking for someone yesterday and we’ve already had between 300 and 400 applications.”
“Everyone is suddenly a dog girl. The perfect persona would not be a huge character and could blend in well with the background and then stand out when needed.
“Customers are billionaires who want top-notch service, and when it comes to their dogs, they’re happy to pay. “This is the first role of this kind that we have offered.”

“The salary that comes with it is pretty outrageous.” Even as a veterinarian, it would be hard to make that kind of money.
“When money is no object, people want the best and you attract the best with the best salary.”
“There’s six weeks off a year, but when you’re dealing with clients like that and they want to fly to Monaco tomorrow, you’re on a private jet and flying with these dogs.”
George said he couldn’t give details about the dogs or the customers – but he hopes to complete the intensive recruitment process by the end of the month.
