It’s been a long and difficult journey for the contestants of American Idol Season 20, but only one can take home the highest accolades. But first, the ABC series ended the season with a variety of appearances from top talent teaming with high-level contestants.

After America voted, Noah Thompson emerged as the season 20 winner. He ended the episode with a performance of his song “One Day Tonight” as his loved ones rushed the stage to celebrate the momentous occasion.
Thompson and runner-up HunterGirl – who was a good sport and helped Thompson celebrate his big win – will perform together tomorrow at 8pm ET/PT on Good Morning, America. Thompson will continue with an appearance on Live With Kelly and Ryan at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
