An American teacher has been arrested for allegedly raping a 12-year-old student. It is said that there are more victims.
She is the mother of two children herself, but is said to have killed at least one boy. Alissa M., 38, of Covington, near Memphis, Tennessee, was arrested Friday for alleged rape of a minor. The victim would have been just 12 years old – and he wasn’t the only one.
Local police chief Donna Turner said in a statement that there were several victims among Ms.’s former students. The rape allegation dates back to 2021 but has only now become known.
She attracted people through social media
Apparently, Alissa M. was operating according to a pattern. As a teacher, she first made friends with children and then sought increasingly intense contact through video games and social networks. She allegedly sent inappropriate photos and requested sexual services.
Bail for the immediately suspended educator was set at $25,000. Furthermore, if she is released, she will not be allowed to have any contact with children other than her own. She will have to appear in court from October 13th. She faces up to 25 years in prison.
