Zuri Craig, who competed on America’s Got Talent seven years ago and starred in several Tyler Perry plays, has died at the age of 44.
His family announced his heartbreaking death in an Instagram post shared on Sunday.
“It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother and friend, Zuri Craig.
“Thank you in advance for your prayers. Please respect our privacy at this unimaginable time of sadness.”

In addition to his singing talents, Craig was also an actor, appearing in several Tyler Perry plays. According to TMZ, he has starred in and worked on the likes of Madea’s Big Happy Family, Madea Gets a Job and A Madea Christmas.
