Since last Sunday evening, the name of Jolette It became a trend on social networks because many users started making fun of the result of the expected referendum to revoke the mandate of the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO).
Some tweeters took humor at the low turnout in the repeal of the mandate when Mexicans were called to vote on whether AMLO should stay in the presidency instead. They recalled that Jolette received many more votes while participating in The Academy.
That comparison was accompanied by endless memes commemorating the controversial move Jolette witnessed on the reality show and show, and AMLO’s consultation last Sunday.
According to preliminary results from INE, the referendum to revoke AMLO’s mandate registered a turnout of between 17% and 18.2% of voters, just over 15 million votes, a figure far from the 40% required for the consultation was binding.
During today’s “morning” AMLO said that due to the “Fallen and the Boycott of the INE” in the referendum to revoke his mandate last Sunday, he received only 15 million votes.
