Human rights organization Amnesty International’s assessment of the development of human rights in Austria is not particularly positive. And indeed, there have been some events in this country over the past year that have cast a questionable light on the actions of officials and politicians. Cases of unacceptable police violence occurred mainly at political rallies. And the internal investigations were still not very transparent.
