Amy Robach didn’t expect her alleged affair with TJ Holmes “would turn into a scandal,” according to a new report.
The “GMA3” personality, whose shock romance with her co-host catapulted the couple into the news last November, feels like “collateral damage,” a source told the US Sun.
“She had no idea the scope of TJ’s alleged past office romances,” added the insider, referencing Holmes’ alleged fling with an intern 13 years his junior and an ABC producer.
“She certainly didn’t anticipate that their relationship would cause a major upheaval — outside of her own marriage.”
Robach, 43, and Holmes, 45, were taken off the air shortly after the scandal broke. An internal investigation is ongoing at ABC.

The US Sun source believes the investigation “will look into Amy’s past to try and find any scandal,” noting, “But luckily for her, she’s pretty well behaved.”
However, a source told Page Six that Robach wasn’t “caught by surprise,” as the report claims — at least by Holmes’ relationship with producer Natasha Singh. The insider claims he’s been “open” to her about her past relationships.

The new report comes just a week after a source claimed to DailyMail.com that Holmes had a month-long affair with then 24-year-old Jasmine Pettaway in 2015 – while married to his now estranged wife Marilee Fiebig.
“He was a predator who took full advantage of his position and he was ruthless,” claimed the source, who allegedly knew the script coordinator well at the time.
“It was Jasmin’s first real job in television and it was a big deal for her. Looking for a mentor, she turned to several people. TJ was someone who was approachable, but he absolutely abused the trust.”

The insider claimed the two had sex and claims Pettaway was “confused afterwards” as to what it all meant. The source went on to claim that Holmes’ behavior was part of an “incredibly reckless” pattern of behavior on his part.
Amid recent media attention, it’s believed that Holmes and Robach’s jobs at “GMA3” are now on the line.

“They haven’t been terminated yet, but I don’t expect TJ to be back,” an insider told Page Six last week, noting that both parties reached an understanding during negotiations.
“They want Amy to stay and be a part of things there, but probably not on ‘GMA3’.”
Amid the scandal, Holmes and Robach also split from their respective spouses Fiebig and Andrew Shue.
Holmes filed for divorce from Fiebig in December 2022. Meanwhile, Robach was on the verge of finalizing the split from her actor husband when the affair made headlines.
