Amy Robach and TJ Holmes pull back the curtain on their “year from hell” after the scandal.

The ousted “GMA3” co-hosts looked back on their relationship, which came to light in November 2022, on the first episode of their “Amy & TJ” podcast, which debuted on Tuesday.

Robach, 50, broke down in tears as she told listeners she “wanted to die” as they dealt with the aftermath.

“There were days when I wanted to die,” remembers the cancer survivor. “It was something I’ve never experienced in my life.

“I just didn’t want to get up,” she continued. “I didn’t want to see what new headlines would be out there.”

Elsewhere in the episode, Robach became emotional as she touched on the “dark” period 46-year-old Holmes experienced after their romance went public – which led to her having a “scary” moment. Never forget the welfare check you did on your partner.”

Robach’s “panic” began when she received text messages from Holmes “in the past tense” as well as messages from ABC producers who were having difficulty “getting in touch with him.”

The “hysterical” journalist was “so afraid that he had done something” that she and her father took an Uber to Holmes’ apartment and, with the help of the doorman, went into his room.

“You were just sprawled out on your bed. I ran up to you and said ‘TJ,’ and you didn’t move,” Robach recalled. “It was the worst thing, having to touch your body and see if you were warm. I was so scared. You were just incoherent.”

How he “ended up in the state.” [he] “I was there,” Holmes explained. “That day I basically came from work and drank vodka. I didn’t stop for several hours and took who knows how many cannabis edibles.”
