Amy Sedaris suffered an embarrassing fall on stage at the National Board of Review Awards Gala in New York on Thursday night.

The 62-year-old actress and comedian was so excited to present Paul Giamatti with the Best Actor award for his role in The Holdovers that she accidentally fell flat on the floor in front of a packed room full of celebrities.

After presenting Giamatti with the award, Sedaris walked to the back of the stage as the actor prepared to give a speech following his win.

But then the “Elf” actress tripped and fell, much to the surprise of others.

Giamatti, 56, rushed over to help the actress get up, but it seemed the fall wasn't serious enough as Sedaris remained on the floor as the room erupted in laughter.

Giamatti jokingly pointed at her as he returned to the podium to give his speech.

The National Board of Review shared a hilarious clip of the ordeal on social media.

“NBR Best Actor winner Paul Giamatti literally stunned host Amy Sedaris with his nuanced comic performance in Alexander Payne's THE HOLDOVERS!” they captioned the Instagram post.

The event was attended by numerous Hollywood stars, including Anne Hathaway, Bradley Cooper, Jessica Chastain, Martin Scorsese and Zac Efron.

The star-studded soirée at Cipriani 42nd Street honors and celebrates the best films released in the past year.

Cooper received the NBR Icon Award for his role as composer Leonard Bernstein in the newly released “Maestro.”
