A plane operated by Chile’s LATAM Airlines from Lima to Juliaca collided with a fire truck at Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima, Peru on Friday. The accident happened as the plane was about to take off. The right wing of this Airbus A320neo collided with an airport fire brigade vehicle and caused a fire, according to the daily newspaper El País.

Two firefighters died in the shock

That domestic flight carried 102 passengers, all safe and sound, the company assures. On the other hand, the company in charge of managing the airport announced in a communicates the deaths of two airport firefighters who were on board the truck.
