Mario Pelchat will release an album of duets this year that will not contain covers of his greatest hits, but original songs in which he will combine his voice with artists such as Patrick Bruel and Ginette Reno.
“I'm releasing this album of duets for my 60th birthday. I chose artists that I like and want to sing with,” he told QMI Agency.

“I sing with Anggun the first excerpt we do in an episode of La Voix. I asked Ginette Reno, who told me yes. We often sang together but never recorded anything, I want to keep something, a nice memory. And Patrick Bruel is also in this project,” revealed the singer from Lac-Saint-Jean.
A first album for Sophie Grenier
Mario Pelchat also can't wait to discover the first album by Sophie Grenier, the big winner of the 9th season of La Voix, who was part of his team.

“Sophie is coming this year to sing an excerpt from her album in the finale of La Voix. It's a great album. She put a lot of effort into it, she wrote all the lyrics. She told me she wanted to write, but I didn't think she had that much talent. At 18, it’s impressive.”
The album will sound a bit like Billie Eilish. “It's very ethereal, very hazy, it's very contemporary and fits his tone well.” The director is Benjamin Nadeau, who worked with William Cloutier.
