DALLAS — The NCAA has an all-women team working this weekend in the national semifinals and championship game in the women’s Final Four.
According to the organization, this is the first time this has ever happened. The NCAA celebrates the 50th anniversary of Title IX this year.
“We celebrate this accomplishment with all those who paved the way and broke down barriers as we play our part in the growth of this great game,” said NCAA Official Coordinator Penny Davis.
Dee Kantner will referee her 26th Final Four while Lisa Jones will referee her 11th. It’s the first Final Four for Katie Lukanich and Tiara Cruse.

The acting crew has a combined 293 seasons in Division I, including 48 Final Four and national championship appearances. Nine of the 11 women have played college basketball, including seven former Division I players.
“I hope the student-athletes and fans see these women as an inspiration and an opportunity to contribute to the game by making it work,” Davis said.
