An American Airlines plane veered off the runway while landing and landed on the grass at Rochester Airport in New York.
The plane, with 53 people on board, flew in from Philadelphia and was scheduled to land around 4 p.m. before it reportedly skidded off the runway amid the snow.
No injuries were reported, but emergency services are at the scene.
“My AmericanAir plane just ran off the runway and into the grass at @ROCAirport. “Happy landing,” one passenger wrote on X.
A spokesman for Rochester Airport confirmed that the American Airlines plane landed safely on the main runway before skidding on the grass.

Flight AA5811 from Philadelphia, which skidded into the grass, had 53 people on board and there were no injuries.
“We just landed and taxied back.” “The pilot turned too fast while taxiing and we slid into the grass,” another passenger, who lives in Rochester, wrote on X.
“The plane is fine and everyone is fine. They just don’t tell us when we’re getting out.”
A third person on board the plane said: “I am also one of the passengers on this flight.” “Very intense landing.”

While a video taken from inside the plane shows emergency responders from the sheriff's department and fire department responding to the incident.
In footage captured by local television crews, including reporter Jennifer Lewke, the plane was surrounded by at least five vehicles with sirens blaring.
A spokesman for Rochester Airport said: “AA Flight 5811, an E-145 Embraer Regional Jet from Philadelphia with 50 passengers and 3 crew, landed safely on the main runway.”
“When turning onto the A2 taxi route, the jet got into the grass. The cause is currently unclear.
“There were no injuries and passengers were taken to the terminal by bus.”
