An American drunk at the wheel of his car tries to enter Canada

An American attempting to enter Canada was eventually handcuffed for drunk driving.

26-year-old Aarik Bennet’s last visit to Canada will not have been easy. Around 3 a.m. Monday night, the Michigan man was taken into custody by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), who contacted the relevant authorities.

The police have launched an investigation and charged the man with being unable to drive.

“The defendant provided two breath samples in an approved device and received two results that were above the legal limit,” Sault Ste. Mary in a statement.

Aarik Bennet has been released on two charges and is scheduled to appear in court on June 12.
