The actor Matthew Perry, known for his role on the series Friends, was declared dead after the official death certificate was issued by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. Perry, 54, was found dead in his hot tub at his residence in Pacific Palisades, just outside Los Angeles, on Saturday, October 28. The cause of his death is still “open,” according to an initial inconclusive autopsy report.

The five-time Emmy nominee’s private memorial service was held Nov. 3 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles, a cemetery near the Warner Bros. Studios lot where “Friends” was filmed from 1994 to 2004. Claims of previous reports from a fire department spokesman detailed that Perry was found unconscious in the hot tub after a 911 call and was pronounced dead before first responders arrived despite attempts to save him.

Since Perry’s death was confirmed, authorities have assured that it could take months for the toxicology test to produce accurate results. Former New York coroner, Michael Baden, was of the opinion that the audit should already be practically complete. Baden, who has written for Fox New for several years, added that authorities were waiting to find “some unknown drug”; This amid theories that Perry was relapsing into his addiction.

“They have more or less 99% of what information they are currently going to receive, and They can release it now or wait a few more weeks because they are looking for an unknown drug“, assured Baden.

It’s worth noting that a search of Matthew’s home uncovered several prescribed medications, including for depression, anxiety and COPD. However, there was no type of medication that could indicate Matthew’s relapse. In addition, initial results of toxicology tests ruled out drugs such as cocaine.

Given this evidence, many celebrities spoke out in support of Perry, saying that the actor had long since kicked his addiction but was now his ex-girlfriend Kayti Edwards He admitted he didn’t agree with it.

“I don’t think he drowned in his hot tub, that doesn’t sound right. I know Matthew and I know he wouldn’t have drowned. I think I may have taken pills the week before. “They said there were no prescription painkillers at the scene, which doesn’t surprise me because He didn’t leave any drugs lying around” explained Kayti, who also added that Perry’s recent publications calling himself “Mattman” were evidence that he was back on pills.

“Mattman went out when he wasn’t sober and felt invincible. I was there when he got high, even though I wasn’t high with him, and When I told him that maybe he should calm down with the drugs, he said, ‘No, I’m Mattman.'”.

Details from the death certificate also show that Perry died at 4:17 p.m. on October 28 and that his death was not due to “other significant circumstances.” The document confirms that Perry was never married, although he was engaged to the manager and producer Molly Hurwitz between 2020 and 2021. Hurwitz expressed her deep emotional connection to Perry in an Instagram post following his death, describing him as a complex figure who caused her unimaginable pain.

“Although I loved it more than I could understand, it was complicated and caused me pain like I had never known. No one in my adult life has had a more profound impact on me than Matthew Langford Perry. “I am enormously grateful for everything I have learned from our relationship,” Hurwitz wrote on social media.
