The announcement is confirmed by the collective’s lawyer, Maître Raphaël Constant, during a press conference this morning (7 July 2022).

The May 30, 2022 report is formal. “The constructions are unsuitable for their use”.

That means owners can’t stay in their homes, finally confirming what prospects have been saying for several years.

The report offers two options. Housing renovation or demolition, then housing reconstruction. In both cases, residents will have to be relocated, with the duration of the work set at a minimum of one year. “A move that has to happen immediately,” warns Raphaël Constant.

The committee, which is also calling for a health screening, plans to meet with Cap Nord leaders about the resettlement very soon.

Master Raphaël Constant and the members of the committee again denounce what they call the inaction of the ARS (Regional Health Agency), which relies on the absence of patients or serious cases to justify itself.

At the moment, the conclusions of this legal expert represent a new victory for these people from Bouillon, because they are added to the conviction that the court passed three years ago against the town hall in the part of the title deeds.

The judiciary had ordered the municipality to pay each complainant a daily fine of 100 euros if no title deed was issued.

Amount not paid until today…
