The MSF NGO ship Geo Barents is expected in Ravenna with 57 migrants on board, including 11 unaccompanied minors and 46 adult men. The ship is expected in the port of Ravenna on Wednesday around 12 p.m. The migrants mainly come from Bangladesh, North Sudan, Egypt, Ethiopia, Eritrea and Pakistan. This is the sixth landing in Ravenna: the first on December 31, a year ago.
The disembarkation operations will take place at the dock of the Porto Corsini cruise terminal, while in agreement with the Municipality of Ravenna it has been decided to carry out health and police operations at the Pala de André in Ravenna. An inspection will be carried out next Monday at the Pala de André to assess the logistical and organizational aspects of the activities.
