Any self-respecting Quebecer knows the Quebec voices of the Simpson family, as well as the voices of members of his own family.

On the other hand, for many people the people behind Marge, Homer, Lisa, Bart and the others remain a mystery.
This is probably why a 2007 interview recently went viral on social media.
The interview, conducted by TVA’s Félix Séguin, was conducted as part of the premiere of The Simpsons, the film shown at the Latin Quarter cinema in Montreal.
The excerpt features Gilbert Lachance, Johanne Léveillé, Hubert Gagnon, Lisette Dufour, Mario Desmarais, Benoît Rousseau and Stéphane Rivard, who together bring the many residents of Springfield to life.
However, we note that Béatrice Picard, who until recently played the matriarch Marge, is missing from the topo.
In the excerpt, we witness a magical moment when the journalist’s phone rings and he lets the actors answer while remaining in character.
The person who called must have been really wondering.
The interview ends with the actors joking that the series could continue for another 18 years…
If only they knew.
Since then, Hubert Gagnon, the voice of Homer, has unfortunately passed away.
