Congo’s Minister of Communications and Media, Thierry Moungalla, released a statement on social media denying the information amid rumors circulating on social media over the weekend.
“Fantastic information suggests serious events that could take place in #Brazzaville. The government denies this false report. We convince public opinion of the calm that prevails and invite people to carry out their activities in peace. #ComGouvCg,” Moungalla’s tweet read.
