In this last episode of The Runaway, it’s party time in Sainte-Alice! A happy event brings together the Francoeur, Dubé and their friends clans. As we witness unexpected reunions, happiness can finally be seen on the faces of characters who have endured multiple dramas over the past few years.

Every Monday night for seven seasons, viewers had a date with the residents of Sainte-Alice-de-Rimouski, who were featured in L’Échappée. The series began with Brigitte Francoeur returning to the region, who was invited to her daughter Jade’s wedding. The death of Agnès Meilleur, the disappearance of young people from the L’Échappée center and a series of other upheavals have turned all plans upside down. No drama has spared the residents of Sainte-Alice since the series began. In this latest installment, they strive for a little more calm and the return of better days. “This final episode is a gift for loyal viewers. We have some surprises in store for her, but it will certainly be a quieter episode, without the dramas that have plagued Sainte-Alice in the past,” announces author Mylène Chollet.

To buckle the buckle
This final episode focuses on three outstanding characters whose fates have not always been easy. They are Jade, Claudie and Manu. Shaped by her meeting and history with Jean-Simon Cardinal, Jade took the hits and accepted being singled out by the people of Sainte-Alice for a long time. The worst is behind her. The return of his grandfather Clément and getting closer to Marc and Claudie are good for him. Jade will find more moments of happiness in the series finale, as will her half-sister Claudie, who recognizes her talent and worth. She finally seems to be making peace with the past and with being the daughter of David Lelièvre and Martine Lyndsay. Beautiful projects and a better future await him. With Manu we discover the fate of L’Échappée, its speakers and its youth. Manu left the center and decided to chart his own course. Where will it take them?
