Ana Castela escorted by Prime Minister after confusion backstage of show What’s new in Sergipe Infonet

A video showing the singer Ana Castela being escorted by the military and civilian police to the stage of the Mandioca Festival, a traditional June festival in the municipality of Lagarto last Saturday 24, to the booing of the population, has been circulating on social networks. The escort came after a riot broke out before his performance.

The video captures the moment when the singer leaves the dressing room under a police escort and finds herself being booed and accused of lack of humility, claiming several times that she has done nothing.

In a statement, the Municipality of Lagarto reported that prior to the artist’s arrival, parents, children and the press gathered near the singer’s landing site. And that she has helped several people more than agreed with the production, more than five times as agreed. “Unfortunately, in order not to jeopardize the schedule of the show, the singer was not able to receive everyone, and at that moment there was an argument with the security team.”

Lagarto City Hall confirmed that the singer was escorted out of the dressing room by civilian and military police officers and that some boos were directed at her because people were unhappy that they were not received. “Ana Castela calmly presented her show with great enthusiasm and was touched by the affection and openness of local people and tourists, exceeding the expectations of the general audience, more than 60,000 people,” he concluded.

News of the unrest behind the scenes ahead of the Mato Grosso singer’s show resonated in the local and national press with another version citing Federal MP Gustinho Ribeiro (Republican) as the cause of the conflict. Because his daughter with the mayor of the Municipality of Lagarto, Hilda Ribeiro, would not have been given immediate access to the dressing room.

According to the publications, however, the deputy exchanged punches and kicks with the artist’s security and said he was in charge. In light of this, the 19yearold singer even considered canceling the show, which didn’t happen. The publications also claim that the misunderstanding was what caused the singer to cry while she was already on stage.

Portal Infonet contacted the deputy Gustinho Ribeiro. The MP stated that the information was not valid and that he denied any false reports about the incident.

The Sergipe Public Security Secretariat (SSP/SE) stated that the military police were called, but when they arrived at the scene there was no further confusion. The SSP also said there was no police report provided by the civilian police on the matter.

So far, the singer has not commented on the incident.
