The program was created by the Telemundo network as part of the lockdown imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 as an alternative for those who had to stay at home as a preventive measure against contagion.
The US-based Honduran presenter confirmed the news of her departure by saying on her Facebook account: “I’m going to rest for a week that will be full of emotions. It will be my last on ‘Home with Telemundo’ after 3 years”.
“Some have read it in many places, now I confirm it,” added the native of Tegucigalpa, who has worked for the important broadcaster for several years.
The show, which airs Monday through Friday at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time, is hosted by Jurka and Puerto Rican Carlos Adyan, but she also hosts “Titulares y más,” where she talks about various sports.
“Working in two completely different jobs for the last 3 years has been wonderful but also hard and has taken up too much time for me to be around much. I’m coming back now As always, thanks in advance for the support,” he told his followers.
“It will be a big change, but with a lot of trust in God, it’s the right one because he decided it that way,” she said confidently, without giving the reason for her departure.
However, she revealed details about what she will be doing with her free time and said she plans to devote even more time to her children, husband, personal projects and being more active on her social media.
Jurka also assured that her departure from the show does not mean that she is retiring from television as she will continue to be active in sports from February 17 and promised to give more details in the coming days.
