Industrialist Anand Mahindra shared an image of the “original Tesla vehicle” from India, which was fully self-driving and didn’t require navigation assistance from Google Maps. And he sought Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk’s reaction to the post.
The defining characteristics that Tesla prides itself on are cost-efficiency, an electric vehicle, and its self-driving capabilities. The image Mr Mahindra shared showed two oxen pulling a cart without a lead while people on board slept during the drive.
“Original Tesla vehicle. No Google Map Required, No Fuel to Buy, No Pollution, FSD (Fully Self-Driving). From home to work. Relax, take a nap, achieve your goal,” read the caption on the image.
“Back to the future… @elonmusk,” the Mahindra group chairman wrote.

On Mr Mahindra’s post, several people shared growing up watching oxen pull carts in their villages.
A user shared a video showing oxen pulling a cart with no one standing on it. But it seemed like the animals knew where they were going.

“We had one at our house. My father kept the bull very healthy. He used to spend a lot of money to keep her healthy,” said another user.

Although not many have raised the issue of animal cruelty, one user has tried to casually mention the issue as well, calling those who have complained about the bull atrocities “awakened”.
But in today’s world, the Awakened would have complained about the bull’s atrocities! ?????????

Another user recalled the days when ox carts were used and said that they lost two buffalo when the animals went to pasture. A search in the neighboring villages also yielded no results. Finally, after a few days, the animals came back on their own.
Yes, those were the days. We (us kids) had lost 2 buffalo when V took a herd of them to graze (during school time).
The parents tried to have them searched in the neighboring villages and gave up. After a day or two they came back themselves ????????????— Vishwa Kannadiga (@OzVish1) April 24, 2022
When ox carts became widespread, people trained the animals in following directions and also in identifying the route. Once trained, these animals would take the route alone and without guidance. Although slow, these modes of transportation were immensely inexpensive and also among the few available in early times.
