Abu Dhabi, November 16 (Prensa Latina) The UAE News Agency (WAM) and Prensa Latina agreed to strengthen their collaborative ties during the second edition of the Global Media Congress, which ends today in the Emirati capital.

At the National Exhibition Center, the General Director of WAM, Mohammed Jalal Al Rayssi, in dialogue with the President of the Latin American information agency Prensa Latina, Luis Enrique González, reiterated his interest and commitment to strengthening the alliances started a few years ago.

During the meeting, Jalal Al Rayssi also expressed his interest in participating in the Nueva Operación Verdad forum next January, ahead of the 65th anniversary celebrations of Prensa Latina on June 16.

In the inaugural edition of the Congress, both Directors held discussions in which they identified common areas, with a focus on news related to the United Arab Emirates and Cuba.

This year, the world’s largest event of its kind will bring together scientists, global opinion leaders, young people and other participants to address key issues such as innovation, media literacy, the role of youth and environmental journalism.

Numerous international, regional and local companies and brands come together in this space to present to the public the most diverse products and services at modern stands, characterized by the advancement of technology and in harmony with a city characterized by its development, culture and traditions are illuminated.

The event is organized by Adnec Group in collaboration with WAM and sponsored by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court.
