Andrade: “I had to leave WWE to remember who I was” – Catch-Newz

Andrade El Idolo made a surprise return to the 2024 WWE Men's Royal Rumble Match in fourth place. All results of the PLE can be found here.

Upon his return, Andrade gave an interview with Byron Saxton in which he was visibly moved by the events leading up to his return to WWE. Andrade said it was necessary for him to leave WWE :

''How am I ? Happy. I'm glad to be here and to be back. I had to leave to remember who I was. Now that I'm back, I know who I am. And remember, no one can stop me now.''

Andrade decided to leave WWE and join AEW in March 2021 when his non-compete agreement ended. He ultimately ended his contract with AEW at AEW Worlds End 2023 in late December by losing to Miro.

A complicated passage for Andrade, who obviously had problems with the casting and direction of his character. This made his advancement in the company more difficult and forced him to make several attempts to withdraw. Let's hope for his sake that he has actually found himself on the AEW side and that he will now be happy to be back in WWE.

We'll have to watch the next WWE shows to know if Andrade will be there on RAW or on SmackDown. WWE has yet to confirm this information.
