The daughter of a prominent Romanian politician claims disgraced influencer Andrew Tate contacted her and several classmates when they were young teenagers – trying to lure some with the promise of a date.
“I was contacted by Andrew Tate, the older of the Tate brothers, three years ago when I was 16,” Daria Gușă told Romanian journalist Iosefina Pascal in an interview with The Post.
“I was a bit surprised because I just made my Instagram account — I had a few hundred followers,” she said.
Tate, a former professional kickboxer and self-proclaimed misogynist, was arrested in Romania last week on suspicion of sex trafficking and rape.
Romanian prosecutors allege that Tate and his brother Tristian held several women against their will and forced them to perform sexual acts on camera.

The brothers are also said to have held two young women – an American and a Romanian – against their will in April in a villa where they were subjected to “physical violence and psychological abuse,” the Chron reported.
Gușă, the daughter of Romanian politician and journalist Cozmin Gușă, told Pascal she was suspicious when Tate contacted her and did not engage in conversation with him.

However, other of her friends have become involved with the alleged human trafficker.
“Of course, usually a lot of girls respond, because when you’re famous with someone who has a lot of followers, you’re very interested and want to hear what they have to say,” Gușă said.
Tate has a good reputation among her friends, she added.
“It was quite well known that he had a network of young girls,” Gușă said.
The now 19-year-old said Tate’s conversations with every girl always started the same way, by writing “Romanian girl” and a strawberry emoji.
“In the beginning, as far as I know, he was very nice to them, he kept inviting them over,” Gușă said. “But the second the girls stopped responding to him and engaging with him, he got a little violent with the language.”
“Most of the girls he contacted were very young girls, most of them underage,” she said, noting that her classmates were 15 and 16 when they received a text message.

“[They] were so interested in the idea of an older man texting them at all,” she added.
Gușă shared a screenshot of a message from an unidentified Instagram user that just said “Romanian girl.” The Post couldn’t confirm the message was sent by Tate as Instagram shut down his official account this summer.
The 19-year-old said she couldn’t understand the stained bruise’s fans who stood by him despite the allegations.
“These are men who attack women who force them into a life that we cannot imagine,” Gușă said of the Tate brothers.
“Even if you agree with them on certain issues, you cannot ignore what they are doing to so many young girls,” she added.
