After the official presentation of Android 14 on October 4th, it’s time to wait. Each smartphone manufacturer must now roll out the update to all of its compatible handsets at its own pace. As Samsung, Xiaomi et al. use a Software overlay Once they get home, they first have to make sure that the new Android version is integrated without causing annoying errors. This requires testing and that is why the first devices delivered are the Google Pixel. Here from the Pixel 4a to the current Pixel 8.

Nevertheless, Xiaomi seems to have worked hard not to keep its users waiting too long. UI update MIUI based on Android 14 is already used on three of its smartphones. If you’re concerned, you can now check your phone’s settings to see if it’s there and install it if necessary. However, it might be better to wait a little longer.

Here are the 3 Xiaomi devices that are currently receiving the update to Android 14, with the corresponding “build” numbers. You will only see one of the two:

  • Xiaomi 13:
    • MIUI-V14.0.5.0.UMCMIXM
    • MIUI-V14.0.5.0.UMCEUXM
  • Xiaomi 13 Pro:
    • MIUI-V14.0.5.0.UMBMIXM

  • Xiaomi 12T :

The subtlety we are talking about comes from a statement from the company: “Xiaomi continues to work on the development and testing processes to ensure that this new version works smoothly for users.” Even if this is that stable version of the update, this veiled warning suggests that not everything is right yet.
