Since his stint on reality show La Academia, Yuridia is now considered one of the singers with the greatest vocal capacitya quality that is perceived in the seven albums he has at 33.
If there’s someone you can compare your success to, it might be Angela Aguilar, who, at 19, also captivated her audience, as was the case with her masterful performance of “La llorona” at the 2018 Latin Grammy Awards, and what led her to do so position themselves as worthy representatives of the Mexican region.
Perhaps the fact that the former academic’s most recent album, Pa ‘puro es late, openly ventured into the same genre as Pepe Aguilar’s daughter has prompted some slackers to get started an unfounded rumor of an alleged rivalry between the artists, even when it was known that the single “What Agony” is a song they perform together.
“It’s a song written by her (Ángela). When she sent it to us and I heard it, I loved it. Eden made some fantastic arrangements for it and before we finished it we thought it would be amazing as a duet and yes. I know my fans will love it. Love,” Yuridia said in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.
Wow, you liked “What An Agony” as it has had over 10 million video views on YouTube and over 6 million as a song on Spotify since it premiered on October 20th. The Sonora took every moment to celebrate the success of the upcoming tour that will take them to the United States and will not end until next spring.

During a press conference in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Ángela reiterated her admiration for Yuridia and acknowledged that she has one of the most privileged voices in Mexico. “She’s a woman I admire and respect, and how lovely it was for her to record one of my songs.”
For her part, Yuridia did not let the compliments for the young woman “beautiful, princess, fallen from heaven” pass, as she did in an interview with La Mejor FM. In it, he admitted that he initially recorded the song alone, but upon listening, he felt something else was missing. “After listening to the song we thought of calling him and asking if he was willing to join us, he said yes and something extraordinary came out, very wonderful and I have to thank him very much for singing the song picked up very much,” the artist added.
For now, Yuridia will continue to prepare for her tour. Ángela Aguilar is making her debut at the next runway show for Savage X Fenty, Rihanna’s lingerie brand, on November 9th. And who knows, in one of those surprises we love, we may see them together at this year’s Latin Grammy Awards.
