Singersongwriter Angela Ro Ro, 73, announced this Friday the 7th that a show scheduled for today at Rio de Janeiro’s Rival Refit Theater has been postponed due to “health emergencies”. The performance date has been pushed back to early next month, May 12th.
The announcement was made via his Instagram page, where his team posted a picture of the performance poster and put a banner above it that read, “Postponed to 5/12.” “For urgent reasons for the artist’s health, [o show] is postponed to Friday 12 May. We thank you for your understanding!” Can be read in the caption of the post.
Known for her hoarse voice, the singer has shaped generations with her mix of bossa nova, jazz and rock and has completed her discography with several romantic songs which have become classics, such as “Amor Meu Grande Amor”.
The show, which Angela Ro Ro will present on May 12, will be “Full of love to give” which traces her entire career, but reaches its climax at the moment when the artist tells several cases and connects with the audience.
During the pandemic, the songwriter has faced serious financial issues, including asking for money on her social media during the period and disclosing her bank account details at the time.
