Angélica turns 50 next Thursday (30) and on the screen it all started very early. The artist began her career on television at the age of 12 and says she was sexually harassed by an important man in the artistic world.
“I’m just like Angelica. When I wanted to debut on television, a very powerful man thought that my stage name should be Lolita, like the girl in the book,” said the presenter in the special program “Angélica: 50 e Tanto”, five episodes of which are already available on Globoplay .
“Around this time the man asked me to sit on his lap backstage on TV. He was an adult and I was a child. And I did everything without understanding it. “Today I understand,” said the blonde.
“I remember arriving at places and being asked if I was a virgin. I was a child and always asked myself what this topic was. “They sexualized our lives so much that we didn’t even understand what was happening,” he recalls.
