When asked by her friend, Agatha lies: “Ah, Angelina, were you there? It is an Indian herb with excellent antiinflammatory properties. It will help Antônio’s recovery a lot.”
After dinner, Antônio feels ill, which increases Angelina’s suspicions, who asks for some of the herb. However, Agatha refuses, arguing that she is not suitable for Angelina’s supposed sore throat.
Angelina is suspicious
Angelina becomes increasingly suspicious of Agatha’s behavior, even more so when she discovers that she has poisoned prisoners in the past while incarcerated. “I don’t know why, but I find Agatha’s behavior very strange. “Something very strange is happening,” she reflects.
