As fans around the world continue to remember the late actor Angus Cloud, his mother Lisa shared her son’s first audition for Euphoria.
The Oakland native was just 25 when he passed away in late July, and just six years earlier he was working as a waiter in Brooklyn when he was discovered by casting director Jennifer Venditti.
Lisa, who revealed last week that she believes her son’s overdose was an accident, shared on Facebook earlier this week a link to a casting website with a video taken in 2017 when Cloud was just 19. two years before the debut of Euphoria.
“This was just sent to me by Jennifer Venditti who was scouting Angus in Brooklyn. “It’s his first tape,” Lisa said in the post.
“After the creators of Euphoria saw this, he was asked to read for Fezco. “It really captures my son’s extraordinary spirit,” she added.

The video is over six minutes long and begins with the actor being asked to describe himself, responding that he’s “silly” and that he “does whatever is put in front of him”.
He said: “We call it cheering up when you just engage in a random, spontaneous activity, so we just get out of the house and just find a whole bunch of fun things to do.”
When asked what kind of music he listens to, he said, “I like all good music, anything that pleases my ears, but I tend to listen to hip-hop.” I don’t know exactly why, it just sounds best to me .’
He was then asked who some of his favorite artists were and he mentioned his friends Slim Luciano, King Heem and Cherokee.
When asked what the craziest thing he’s ever done was, he said it was “hard,” but said he and a friend “jumped into the San Francisco Zoo, over the fences, but we ended up in the shit.” “In a cage with the kangaroos, like the mini kangaroos you know.”
When asked how that happened, he said, “We didn’t have money for this kind of thing, you know, so we snuck into Six Flags amusement park.” And then security tried to find us, so we just kept going .”
The producer joked it was a good thing he didn’t jump in the tiger cage, but added, “At the Oakland Zoo I jumped in the warthog cage bro that was really sketchy.”
When asked about his friends, he said he’s dating people who are “up for anything,” and when he started saying he had “a lot of friends,” he broke off and said, “That is irrelevant.”

When asked what he would like to do in life but hasn’t done yet, Cloud replied, “That’s a tough question.” My next plan: Riding on freight trains. “I’ve always wanted to do this since I was younger.”
When asked if he’d rather be rich or famous, he replies, “Definitely rich,” adding that he “definitely” believes in true love.
“Personally, I’ve experienced love, and now I try to close my feelings to other people because I don’t want to be trapped in my feelings,” he said.
“You can’t help but love, if that’s the case you won’t be able to say no.” There’s nothing you can do about that, it’s just an instinct. “This is how I feel about love,” Cloud said at the end of the first video.
Cloud was found dead at his family home in Oakland, California on July 31 and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency services.
Just a week earlier, he was in Ireland, attending the funeral of his father, who died of mesothelioma in mid-May, aged just 65.
Freedom: When asked about the best part of his life, he said, “Just freedom.” I don’t know. Just the love I gotta give and receive, you know what I’m saying? Everywhere, you know, surrounded by it. I’m just blessed to be alive. I don’t know what the best part of my life is. I’m just blessed to be alive.
All good: And the worst time of his life, Cloud said, “Shit, I don’t know!” It’s all good here, nothing to complain about.

While there were reports that Cloud was struggling with “suicidal thoughts,” Lisa said she believes her son’s overdose was an accident.
“Friends, I want you all to know that I appreciate your love for my family during this broken time.”
“I don’t know if or what he put in his body … All I know is that he laid his head on the desk where he was working on art projects and fell asleep and didn’t wake up.”
“We may find out that he accidentally and tragically overdosed, but it’s perfectly clear that he had no intention of getting off this world.”
It added: “Posts on social media suggest his death was premeditated.” I want you to know that’s not the case. To honor his memory, please make random kind gestures a part of your daily life.”
“I also want you to know that while my son was deeply saddened by the untimely death of his father from mesothelioma, his last day was a joyous day.”
