During an operation on Saturday afternoon in the Anjou district, a police officer was hit by the driver of a vehicle. Four youths were arrested in connection with the event.

The attack happened shortly after 3 p.m. not far from the Galeries d’Anjou. The police had been reported to an attempted vehicle theft in the parking lot of the shopping center.
During their intervention, the police located a suspicious vehicle on Saint-Zotique street. The driver fled quickly and met a police officer who was walking.
“The officer shot the suspect vehicle at least once,” Montreal Police spokesman Jean-Pierre Brabant said.
The officer was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The searches carried out led to the arrest of four young men aged 17 and 18, in connection with the event. You will be received by the investigators soon.
The vehicle used in the attack was in the parking lot of a shopping center on Boulevard Langelier, near Rue Bélanger, in the Saint-Léonard district.
