Announced changes to flights from Spain to Cuba Cuba Directory

One of the most used companies for flights from Spain to Cuba, directly from Madrid to Havana and vice versa, is World2Fly, the airline of the hotel company Iberostar. Well, starting next week, the Iberian airport authorities announced changes to these connections from Madrid-Barajas Airport.

According to the tourist magazine Reportur, Iberostar’s airline, World2Fly, is moving to T4 of Barajas Airport. The Iberostar Group airline will change its location at Madrid’s main airport from Sunday October 29, leaving T1 and moving to T4.

“This change will allow us to offer travelers a more comfortable and higher quality service, which also has more options for connecting to other flights,” they explain from World2Fly.

This means that if you plan to travel after this day, you will not arrive at the scheduled terminal if you have another connecting flight to your place of residence or visit in Spain. Another 30 airlines operate in T4, including Iberia, Vueling, British, Qatar Airways and American Airlines. So you’ll probably have to transfer at one of them so you don’t have to move around too much.

What is the World2Fly flight schedule to Havana in October 2023? According to the ECASA calendar published earlier this month, this company flies to José Martí International Airport (Havana). Every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from Madrid.

Of course, it is not the only airline connecting Spain and Cuba. Air Europa, Iberia, Cubana de Aviación and Iberojet also do this. In 2022, World2Fly will also connect Varadero, Cuba’s main holiday resort, with the Iberian capitals Lisbon and Madrid. But these routes have already been abolished, at least so far. However, they could resume during the island’s peak tourist season.
