Anonymous claims to have hacked Russian state television broadcasts to show military footage from Ukraine.
Anonymous claims to have hacked Russian state television to broadcast footage of the war in Ukraine.
The hacker collective claimed to be targeting Russia 24”, “Channel One” and “Moscow 24” to show the realities of the wild invasion.
Vladimir Putin told the Russians that the invasion was a “special military operation” and a peacekeeping exercise aimed at suppressing any anti-war dissent.
Kremlin propaganda channels claim a civil war has broken out in Ukraine, led by Western-instigated Nazi nationalists and an expansion NATO.
But Anonymous showed the Russians the reality of war in a hack Sunday, he claims.
They also targeted Russian streaming services Wink and Ivi.
The hackers said they were taking part in “the largest operation Anonymous has ever seen” to destroy Russia.
Some of the footage shown on Russian television included the message “ordinary Russians are against the war” and urged them to oppose the invasion.
Last week, hackers said they had shut down the Russian space agency so Putin could “no longer has control over spy satellites.”

Network Battalion 65 or “NB65”, which is affiliated with Anonymous, posted a tweet claiming to show server information for Roscosmos (pictured). However, the head of Roskosmos denied the allegations and called Anonymous “swindlers and petty swindlers.”
Here’s how YOU can help: Donate here to the Mail Force Ukraine call
Readers of Mail Newspapers and MailOnline have always shown great generosity in times of crisis.
Invoking this human spirit, we are now launching an appeal to raise money for refugees from Ukraine.

As suffering escalates in the coming days and months, these innocent victims of the tyrant will need housing, schools and medical care.
All Mail Ukraine Appeal donations will be distributed to charitable and humanitarian organizations providing such important services.

Anonymous-affiliated Network Battalion 65 or NB65 posted a tweet claiming to be showing server information for Roscosmos.
They said they had downloaded and deleted confidential files related to the space agency’s satellite imagery and vehicle monitoring system.
However, the head of Roscosmos denied this claim and called Anonymous “scammers and petty swindlers.”
CEO Dmitry Rogozin tweeted: “The information of these scammers and petty scammers is not true.
“All of our space operations control centers are operating normally.”
He added that Russia would view any hacking of its satellites as justification for war.
Earlier, Rogozin said that control over the Russian space industry, the orbital constellation and a segment of the Russian International Space Station is protected from cybercriminals.
Previously, the hackers tweeted: “WS02 has been removed, credentials have been replaced and the server has been down.
“We will not stop until you stop dropping bombs, killing civilians and trying to invade. Go back to Russia.”
This comes just days after Anonymous said it had successfully hacked over 300 Russian websites and offered troops over $53,000 (£39,000) to turn in their tanks.
The hacker community claims to have raised more than 1 billion rubles ($10.3 million) and is offering tank crews money for every tank they turn in, Ukrainian media reported.
Anonymous declared “cyberwar” on Putin’s government after he launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
In a Twitter post, the group wrote: “The Anonymous Collective is officially waging a cyber war against the Russian government.”
About 30 minutes later, they announced that they had shut down the website of the Kremlin-backed TV channel RT, which broadcasts to the UK and has been heavily criticized for its coverage.
Anonymous has previously targeted groups including the Ku Klux Klan and Islamic extremists.
The members are known as “anons” and are distinguished by their Guy Fawkes masks.
Last July, the collective warned Tesla founder Elon Musk that they were planning to target him, saying he had too much power over the cryptocurrency markets.
The group also announced that it had shut down the website of the pro-Kremlin TV channel RT, which broadcasts in the UK and has been heavily criticized for its coverage.
UNSTABLE ANONYMOUS HACKER GROUP
The hacker group Anonymous has been linked to online attacks around the world aimed at punishing governments for policies that hackers disapprove of.
The members are known as “anons” and are distinguished by their Guy Fawkes masks.
The group is considered anything from digital Robin Hoods to cyberterrorists for their hacking campaigns against government agencies, child pornography sites and the Klu Klux Klan.
In 2008, the online community staged a series of protests, pranks and hacks against the Church of Scientology as part of their “Project Chanology”.
More recent targets of Anonymous “hacktivism” have included government agencies in the US, Israel, Tunisia, Uganda, and others, copyright agencies; Westboro Baptist Church; and corporations such as PayPal, MasterCard, Visa and Sony.
In 2013, they declared war on secret “chat rooms” used by pedophiles to share images.
Dozens of people have been arrested for their involvement in Anonymous cyberattacks in countries such as the US, UK, Australia, the Netherlands, Spain and Turkey.
