The Pope prays for war refugees in Ukrainian and Russian

Anonymous hacks social VKontakte, Fb of Russians HiTech

The hacker and activist group Anonymous has hacked into the VKontakte social network, considered the Facebook of Russia. The intention was to send users automatic messages containing information about events in Ukraine, including the number of civilian and military deaths in both the Kiev and Moscow armies.

“The Russian army has destroyed many peaceful cities and civilian infrastructure. Tens of thousands of people were injured and more than 5,000 died, including 100 children,” reads part of the message. The official Anonymous Operations account on Twitter confirmed the news, which was also picked up by the TechCrunch website and published other messages sent to VKontakte subscribers, which had almost 409 million users as of the end of October 2021, according to Statista: ” None of the tasks set by the Russian army were fulfilled: hundreds of equipment units were destroyed, tens of thousands of soldiers were wounded, 560 were captured and more than 11,000 died in Ukraine”.

Just Anonymous launched the 1920.in website a few days ago to allow anyone to send Russian phone numbers with personalized and prefilled texts such as: “Dear Russians, your media has been censored. The Kremlin’s aim is to overcome Moscow’s censorship of international information about the war. According to the national portal Kyiv Independent, Anonymous also violated the profiles of VKontakte users, expecting all Putin supporters to be identified and “punished”.
