Clavel bluntly admits that his setback against Plata hurt. Very bad actually.
“That was probably the most pain I was in,” she admitted earlier this week. I had a heartache or two, it hurt, but it was a pain that reached into the soul, that burns your heart.
“Once you get past the first three or four days of feeling ashamed, you feel humiliated and like shit, you tell yourself that life goes on, that you are healthy and that you are surrounded by love.
“It made me grow and I think I had to experience that on my journey, but I would have preferred not to experience it. It didn’t stop me, I held on to my feet and stood up.”
