In early January, the professor at the Department of Microbiology, Infectious Diseases and Immunology at Laval University was informed that he was the subject of a new complaint.
This time, the complaint concerns the publication of a scientific article suggesting that a period of six weeks would not be sufficient to identify side effects associated with vaccination against COVID-19.

After meeting Mr. Provost to hear his side of the story, management decided the allegations were unfounded. Therefore, no sanction will be imposed.
Lead prospect, Patrick Provost, is delighted with what he describes as management’s “pull back” on him. The support of more than 280 colleagues who wrote to him to denounce treatment deemed “abusive” could have been significant, he cautiously continues.
Mr. Provost is currently suspended for a period of four months without pay for controversial statements on the airwaves of CHOI 98.1 FM, in which he reiterated his opposition to vaccination of children against COVID and questioned its effectiveness and usefulness, which goes against the scientific consensus on this issue.
In the letter informing him of his second suspension, Laval University had informed him that “any recurrence (..) will result in dismissal”.
