Another defeat for the Rocket

The Laval Rocket lost again on Wednesday night, extending their losing streak to four games.

This time the Montreal Canadiens farm club lost 4-1 to the Utica Comets at Place Bell.

It was also the Rocket’s seventh loss in eight games so far in the 2023/24 season.

The Comets’ offensive star in this duel was Xavier Parent. The Lava native had fun hitting the target three times. The former QMJHL player scored a total of eight points (4-4) in six games this season.

Chase Stillman was the Utica team’s other scorer, while Jayden Struble was the only Rocket player to score. The goal scored by the defender in the third period allowed Jean-François Houle’s men not to be blanked for the second game in a row.

Before the winning goal, Isaac Poulter made 35 saves. Rocket goalie Jakub Dobes had to make 24 shots.

The Laval club will try to end its failures on Friday night during a visit to the Toronto Marlies.
