The Columbus Blue Jackets added goaltender Spencer Martin to their roster on Wednesday.
The day before, the Vancouver Canucks placed the 28-year-old athlete’s name on waivers.
Martin has 38 games of experience in the National Hockey League (NHL), wearing the colors of the British Columbia Club and the Colorado Avalanche.
He maintained an .885 efficiency percentage and a 3.62 goals-against average in the Bettman circuit.
In Columbus, the Oakville native joins a group of goaltenders that includes Elvis Merzlikins, Daniil Tarasov, Jet Greaves and Nolan Lalonde. Only the first two have played more than one career game in the NHL.
Martin was selected by the Avalanche in the third round (63rd overall) in the 2013 draft. He only played three games with this team in 2016 and 2017.
