Another influencer has jumped on the trend of shaving her baby’s head – after Ruby Tuesday Matthews says it makes hair “grow thicker and faster”.

Influencer Ruby Tuesday Matthews sent her fans into a frenzy last week after admitting she had shaved her newborn daughter Holiday’s head.

It now appears that other influencers are catching on to the trend: Chloe Szepanowski, 24, posts photos of her three-month-old son Sunny on Instagram, sporting a freshly shaved head.

Eagle-eyed fans noticed that young Sunny was clean-shaven in the latest snaps Chloe shared, just days after Ruby started the baby shaving trend.

“Chloe Szep shaving her baby’s head? She has posted pics on her Insta feed where he has hair and in recent stories he has nothing,” one fan asked Instagram watchdog account Influencer Updates AU.

The account jumped in, suggesting that Chloe “maybe do the same thing @rubytuesdaymatthews did.”

The account later claimed in a post, “Ruby and Chloe have started a new trend by shaving their babies’ heads.”

It wasn’t long before some followers clapped back at the suggestion that the influencers were behind this “trend.”

One follower wrote “it’s been a tradition for many cultures for years,” and another agreed that many parents shaved their babies’ heads for cultural reasons.

It comes after Ruby, 27, who gave birth to her baby girl in September, said she shaved the heads of all her three children when they were four months old to make their hair more manageable.

Influencer updates from the celebrity watchdog account claimed, “Ruby and Chloe have started a new trend by shaving their baby heads.”

“My kids are born with dark hair that looks crazy patchy. I find that shaving makes it grow faster, thicker and more evenly,” she explained on Instagram.

It didn’t take long for many of Ruby’s 235,000 followers to lose their composure over her unique approach to parenting.

One fan wrote that they also shaved their daughter’s head and “it works amazingly”.

Another said: “I did that too and everyone went insane. But I’m a hairdresser and it actually works.”
