Antetokounmpo shines in defeat, Celtics stay alive

Despite another phenomenal performance by Giannis Antetokounmpo on Friday in Milwaukee, the Boston Celtics beat the Bucks 108-95 to force an ultimate game.

Antetokounmpo had 44 points, 20 rebounds and six assists for the local favorite. In 2001, Shaquille O’Neal became the last NBA player to record at least 40 points and 20 rebounds in a playoff game.

It was the Greek’s fourth consecutive double-double and a third performance of at least 40 points in this second-round series.

Only Jayson Tatum was also very good. He accumulated 46 points overall to help the Massachusetts roster extend their season. Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart also contributed with 22 and 21 points respectively.

Game number 7 takes place in Boston on Sunday.
